The GDPR conference held on 10 May 2017 attracted almost 300 delegates. In a packed day, speakers presented on a range of topics associated with the implementation of, and preparation for, the GDPR in May 2018.
The Chief Minister gave the opening address and confirmed the commitment to introduce legislation equivalent to the GDPR in the Island by May 2018.
The Commissioner extends his thanks to all the speakers, panelists and delegates for their contributions.
A brief look at the feedback from delegates has indicated that the event was very well received. A high level of interest in further dedicated workshops and the potential for setting up a data protection officer forum was also expressed and these will be given further consideration.
Responses to the questions posed during the day, but not covered in the panel sessions, will be made available on the website as soon as they have been completed.
