The Information Commissioner is continuing to develop guidance to assist controllers and processors move towards compliance with the new data protection regime.

A series of new documents is being prepared in addition to the original Toolkit documents.

The first two documents have been released and are a basic overview, "10 things you need to know and do", and a more descriptive document, with hyperlinks to various resources, "New Data Protection Law Summary".

The new documents are now available on the website in the GDPR Compliance Resources section at https://www.inforights.im/information-centre/data-protection/the-general-data-protection-regulation/steps-towards-compliance/compliance-resources/gdpr-toolkit/

A "Closer look" series, focusing on the various aspects referred to in the Summary document, such as accountability, transparency, consent, etc. are being prepared and will be published on the website as soon as finalised.
