Complaints to the Commissioner
Article 77 of the Applied GDPR gives individuals the right to make a complaint to the Commissioner if they consider that the processing of their personal data infringes the law. This includes matters concerned with the exercise of rights, compliance with principles etc.. This right of complaint is extended to infringements of any of the Island's "data protection legislation", as defined in regulation 5(1) of the Implementing Regulations, by regulation 122 of the Implementing Regulations.
